The QDC Disinfection Beads described have been independently tested for the reduction of E. coli bacteria and MS2 virus from waters pre-treated for drinking. QDC Beads are not intended for waters that have not first undergone suitable pre-treatment or filtration, nor are they intended for converting raw sewage or wastewater into microbiologically safe drinking water. Recommended use is for rainwater treatment only
QDC Beads will reduce but cannot guarantee 100% elimination of all bacteria and microorganisms. Pearl Water Filters recommend an LED UV be installed to provide safe potable water.
